21 June 2010, URGENT Job Offer for Instrumentation Engineer

28 April 2010, The CERIMED coordinated project: EndoTOFPET-US submitted in the last Health call of the 7th European Framework Program has been approved for funding by the European Commission. This technically very challenging project is proposing to design and build one prototype of a bi-modal PET-US (Positron Emission Tomography and Ultrasound) endoscopic probe combining in a miniaturized system a fully digital, 200ps time resolution Time of Flight PET detector head (TOF-PET) coupled to a commercial ultrasound (US) assisted biopsy endoscope and to launch a pilot clinical study focusing on pancreatic cancer, after a first step of preclinical feasibility tests on pigs. As an example of novel development of biomarkers, promising antibodies already developed for pancreatic cancer will be pushed towards clinical application.

The 4 years project will be funded at the level of 5.5M€ by the EC and involves a large international and multidisciplinary consortium with 12 partners from 6 countries (6 academic, 3 university hospitals and 3 companies) coordinated by Prof. R. Laugier from the Timone University hospital in Marseille.
