- 12 April 2009- On 12 April 2009 the "Universite de la Mediterranee" signed the contract with the company "Marseille Amenagement" for preparation and the follow-up of the construction of the CERIMED infrastructure. The technical design of the building is completed and the schedule prepared by the company foresees a delivery in August 2011.

- October 2007 - The engineering school "Ecole Central de Marseille" and the "Université de la Méditerranée" introduce new master modules on human anatomy and physiopathology for physicists and engineers and on optics, mechanics and nanotechnologies for physicians
- 27 September 2007- Approval of the fourth Cerimed pilot project, POCASI, on the optical imaging of biological tissues using an innovative optical filtering method based on the polarization status of optical waves propagating in a diffusive medium.
